How long have you been in your industry?15 years
Why did you choose your industry?Ever since I was little, I’ve wanted to be a teacher. I’ve always enjoyed working with children, but what truly inspires me is the joy of teaching them new things and witnessing their "aha moment" faces when something clicks. It’s incredibly rewarding to see their growth, help them through struggles, and guide them to become successful learners who aren’t afraid to make mistakes but learn and grow from them.My goal is to nurture students who reason thoughtfully, feel secure in themselves and their abilities, and embrace who they are. I strive to help them develop into confident, curious, and compassionate individuals, ready to be rightful and responsible citizens. Teaching is not just a profession for me; it’s a passion and a way to make a meaningful impact.
Who are your typical clients?students k-5th
What do you like best about being in this industry?Collaboration, personal growth, and fostering a sense of belonging while contributing to positive change.
What are common problems you see? Some common challenges I encounter in this industry include addressing the diverse needs of children with various diagnoses while feeling limited in my ability to provide the individualized support they require. Another significant challenge is fostering a growth mindset in students—encouraging them to see mistakes as opportunities for learning and to value understanding and reasoning over simply striving for a grade.Additionally, I work to emphasize teaching for deep comprehension and practical application rather than rote memorization. However, this approach can sometimes be misunderstood by parents who may prioritize immediate results or grades over long-term learning. Helping parents understand that our goal is to equip students with skills they can apply in real-life situations, rather than information they may quickly forget, is an ongoing effort.
