Why did you choose your industry?I have always been involved with the ocean in some way. We loved the aspect that this industry can, and does, change lives for the better, thereby improving the local community.
Who are your typical clients?People starting their careers or people looking to change up their careers.
What do you like best about being in this industry?Helping others realize their life goals of becoming 1) a professional and 2) becoming financially secure.
What are common problems you see?shortage of qualified workers
What advice/tips do you have for clients?Stay focused and work on up scaling your credentials as soon as you have the sea time to qualify.
When is your busy season?January to September
What keeps you up at night?working through the multiple hurdles of course writing and approvals
How do you market yourself to grow/expand your business?word of mount and digital
How involved are you in the community?Our nonprofit raises money to help disadvantaged people with tuition
What is your favorite not for profit or charity?Ones that give back to the community
What advice would you give to someone thinking of getting into this business?It is a great and rewarding industry to be in.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?sailing, playing & producing music
